Indianapolis Gaelic Football

From time to time the club will be playing Gaelic Football out on the pitch. Gaelic football is a fast paced game with rules similar to hurling, only played with a round ball; the game blends some of the elements of both rugby and soccer. In Ireland, the game's popularity is on par with hurling, with some of the top Gaelic football players moonlighting as professional soccer players. In Australia, the game evolved into Aussie Rules Football. Ireland and Australia play a compromise match twice a year in a game called International Rules Football.
